Help teach English to little angels

We are a Catholic religious community, and we have joined this platform because we are currently in need of kind-hearted volunteers.

Our home in Matara offers a peaceful retreat, nestled in a serene coconut plantation just 1.5 km from the beach. It’s the perfect place to unwind and connect with nature. You’re warmly invited to relax in our garden and enjoy the calm atmosphere.

During your stay, you’ll have the chance to:

• Experience Sri Lankan culture and local customs

• Learn traditional Sri Lankan cooking

• Practice organic gardening

• Engage in meditation and peaceful reflection

We provide comfortable accommodation and daily meals — and if you enjoy cooking, even better!

We welcome volunteers into our daily lives and treat you like family. We’re especially looking for those who can teach Spoken English to both children and adults. Knowledge of German or Spanish would also be appreciated for personal learning.

Your help is also needed with:

• Gardening (watering, planting, basic cultivation)

• General maintenance around the house

• Assisting with cooking and daily tasks

We ask for around 4–5 hours of help per day, 5 days a week, but we’re flexible and respectful of your pace.

During your free time, you can:

• Visit the nearby beach (1.5 km away)

• Rest in the garden or join meditation sessions

• Take day trips — the bus stop is just 1 km away with connections to Colombo, Kandy, Anuradhapura, Jaffna, and more.
